[한국다우케미컬] R&D Chemist Position
The Dow Chemical Company has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a R&D Chemist in our Semiconductor Technology (ST) Micro Lithography R&D group in Dow Seoul Technology Center (DSTC), Korea. The ST Micro Lithography R&D group in DSTC is a part of the global Dow Electronic Materials (EM) R&D organization that is a world leading supplier of electronic materials innovation. ST Micro Litho R&D in DSTC closely collaborates with the world leading customers to succeed together in both existing and emerging markets.
The primary focus of the job will be in organic synthesis of electronic materials which are essential for new products development.
1. Key roles & Responsibilities
• Apply expertise in organic synthesis to enable the design of innovative new materials, offering benefits in performance for the ST Micro Litho business.
• Interaction with domestic and global multifunctional teams to drive new product development from concept shaping and validation to scale-up and commercialization.
• Apply methodologies, measurement and modeling tools to simulate, characterize, and optimize material functions.
• Resolve technology challenges through focused scientific methodology, multidisciplinary approach and innovative thinking.
• Create and secure intellectual property for Dow.
• Technical leadership in new materials development.
• Participation in industry and technical conferences.
2. Qualifications
• A PhD in organic synthesis is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal relationship skills, and verbal and written communication skills including technical writing and presenting in English.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities in a positive and productive manner.
• Effective in team interactions with willingness to learn from peers.
• Ability to work safely in a lab environment.
3. The following additional skills and experiences are desired:
• Excellent knowledge of analytical technologies
• Design of experiments
• Statistical data analysis
