Sadow Group work is focused upon the development of new catalytic
reactions and new catalysts for application in green chemistry, stereoselective
synthesis, and the conversion of abundant raw materials into commodity and
specialty chemicals. Accomplishments in these areas will impact the field of
catalysis. Our approach and goals involve (1) synthesis of ligands and
organometallic complexes, (2) development and catalytic methodology that
utilize the reactivity of these compounds, and (3) the pursuit of mechanistic
models to guide future catalyst and reaction design. These goals will be
highlighted in developments of catalytic hydroboration, hydrosilylation, and
hydroamination.
