-Abstract-
Protein/peptide sequencing has always been a hot issue in mass spectrometry and tremendous efforts have been focused on developing a better tandem mass spectrometry methods. In line with these efforts, I have also dedicated the last decade in understanding and developing more efficient protein/peptide sequencing mass spectrometry method. In particular, radical-based protein/peptide sequencing mass spectrometry has attracted my attention, for example, electron capture dissociation (ECD) and free radical initiated peptide sequencing (FRIPS) mass spectrometry. In the seminar, I will present many experimental results obtained during my quest towards developing better protein/peptide tandem mass spectrometry method.
